An observant and eager apprentice, committed to giving 100%. Proud to be known as approachable and congenial, able to harmonize with the differences between one another. Approaching life with the motto: work hard and have fun in the process.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, she was a shy child, transferring schools yearly through middle school didn't allow the fostering of friendships, but she found ways of always having fun. Once she was able to fortify roots in high school, she fatefully took her first jab at Photoshop in a graphic design course. Unbeknownst to her, the program came naturally to her and she was finishing projects early and assisting others in learning, eventually going on to take a college course on the side to explore more of the Adobe Creative Suite and had her first encounter with screen printing. She was then recommended to work on the yearbook, where her life took its first big turn into the creative world. She began entering shows and earning awards from Adobe and more.
Once Editor in Chief of her high school yearbook, she learned deadlines and leadership and began outsourcing her talents and went on to help with projects for Warner Bros. Records, and assisted in filming and production of music videos. Once she graduated high school she picked up a job at an art supply store, giving her access to more knowledge and opportunity to explore more mediums and meet a plethora of talented and creative people, leading to a secondary job in a shop dedicated to professional picture framing.
She went on to go to Otis College of Art and Design and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts with an emphasis in Graphic Design, fascinated and dedicated to learning more art forms and techniques. After buying some photography equipment, she dedicated a corner in her shared room to creating a photography studio, investing in peel and stick tiles to create boards to mimic floors and walls and enhanced her knowledge of studio photography. She took seven classes per semester, leading her to learn creative thinking, print making (letter press, etching, screen printing), illustration, fine arts, color theory and art history, working towards her goal of becoming a jack of all trades.
After graduating, she went on to do packaging for a beauty brand, designing all branded materials: Packaging, social media content, print media, web, identity and marketing such as e-mail newsletters/campaigns, managed Facebook, Instagram and Google ads. She had been working freelance projects through the years, but officially starting doing business as The Isabelle and went on to create illustrations, packaging, social media content, menu and studio photography and marketing materials for a number of clients. Eventually going full time with freelance work, she picked up a part-time restaurant job to get some customer service social interactions and break up her days, making friends with every customer and breaking in to the food industry.
Once full time, she began enjoying the passion and artistic nature of food, giving her a new medium to explore. Cooking was another way of bringing everyone together and creating a sense of community that she admired. This optimism led to a role of leadership, where she learned the mechanical side of running a fluctuating business. The term manager meant so much more than the definition, giving her an avenue to allow her organization and outgoing spirit to lead a team of supportive collaboration. Eventually, she was promoted to Director of Operations of the restaurant group, growing her team across three restaurants and organizing the operations and growth of three business and up to sixty individuals.
Today, Isabelle's hobbies include: Video games, researching current trends, exploring new mediums or regularly used mediums differently and learning new software/techniques. She continues to explore new avenues, trends and creative inspiration with a current interest in enhancing her knowledge of 3D and the Blender software, continuing exploration of animation and enjoying comic-style storytelling and loud moments of laughter and is looking for a new place to contribute her skills and dedication.
